Well, 2020 has been a year nobody expected.  Nobody saw this coming, and we are all living in ways we could not have imagined just a few months ago.  Thankfully, many families have turned to the outdoors, specifically boating, as a way to make the most out of some trying circumstances and spend time together.  I lost track of how many times some version of this statement was made to me or my staff this past season:

"Well, our kids/grandkids are not in school.  We have no soccer/baseball/sports tournaments or games to go to.  Our summer vacation plans have been cancelled.  We have been thinking and talking about a boat for several years now, and we have finally decided it is time to just go ahead and get one".

So as a result, the waterways around the country have seen unprecedented spikes in boat traffic.  When there is nothing else that it seems like you can do, what a wonderful opportunity this has been to catch a fish, learn to waterski, play in the lake, and just float the afternoons away on a boat.  You are staying with your immediate family and others you know and trust, you can sometimes go the whole day without seeing another person, and if you do it right . . . you can completely avoid all distractions, news, social media, etc for however long you choose to stay afloat.

Hopefully you took advantage of the extra time and unique circumstances to spend a lot of time on the water this summer.  If not, and that sounds good to you, let us know.  We can set you up to Social Distance on a boat of your own, enjoying priceless time with your family, all the while letting the craziness of the outside world fade to the background for a while.
