Best customer experience Ive had buying anything from anyone! Originally I had considered buying a used boat but the used inventory was pretty scarce and you never know what youre getting with a used boat. I didnt think Id be able to afford a new boat but with Joshs help we were able to find the perfect boat for our family at a price that worked for us! Buying a new boat gave me the peace of mind of having an incredible lineup of warranties on the boat AND motor bc honestly if something were to go wrong Id have absolutely no idea how to fix it! I bought a boat off the showroom floor and Josh was able to get it ready, and delivered for absolutely no cost within a week of me purchasing it. After it was delivered we took it out for a spin and actually ended up having some motor problems with it the first time we took it out. I called Josh right back up that Thursday evening and he answered and came right back out, with his 2 year old daughter and helped me figure out what the problem was. He called his certified mechanic who met us at the boat and he troubleshot it and knew exactly what the problem was. He came back out the very next morning and had it fixed within 15 minutes. It was a manufacturing error that he was able to fix at no cost. He took it out for a spin to make sure everything was good to go! If that wasnt enough, Josh brought out a set of premium quality black Harris bumpers, a $360 value for free just bc of the little trouble we had after delivery. Ive had the boat for three weeks now, havent had a single issue with it and absolutely love it! I will be a customer for life and would recommend Josh and Sportsmans to anyone I know. I dont know of another dealership that would do that kind of thing for their customer. Thank you again for such great service and such a great buying experience!

Bought a ski boat from Sportsman's last November and they stored the boat over the winter. This April (2024) we picked it up and launched it. It runs great and we are as happy as a clam. I called Josh about a question regarding the mooring cover because most people at Winnebago cover their boats despite having a covered dock. But before I could finish asking, I said "Never mind. Unlike most other folks, we take the boat out nearly every day, so no need to cover it." Josh laughed and said he loved hearing that.

I cant thank these guys enough! My son fishes for the Lee's Summit High School team and I had an issue with my power steering no one could get me in to get it fixed. We had his state tournament the very next weekend and they fit me in so that he would not miss his high school tournament. He listened to us, gently encouraged us to make the right decision but made very clear the pros and cons of the decisions we were weighing.We absolutely love our Harris Solstice and already have priceless and countless memories for my family because of it.On top of that - as any boat owner is suspect to have - there was a unique issue when we first got the boat. The owners went above and beyond to make it right, operating with class and positivity in helping us rectify the situation. Again - impressed with their commitment to customers as they didnt have a contractual obligation, but wanted to do the right thing and made sure things were made right.The over the top assistance came by way of their shop - Scott is as good as they make em. Detailed, on top of his game and so on point with all of our needs big and small. From making that original emergency run to support us to simply being the only place I trust for off-season care, it is the peace of mind that most of my boating friends wish they had. Scott - you are one of the good guys.I count myself lucky to have met this group - its great to have people that you trust looking out for your big investments, but more so as their purpose is to help you realize the dream that youve always had.Also - this review comes a full two years + after I bought the boat. This was a new adventure and new product launch for Lund called Veer X13. I started researching this boat back in January when the boat was first introduced to the market. It was exactly what I had been looking for. I contacted both Lund/Veer and Sportsmans Outfitter & Marine who was one of the very few dealerships selected to launch the new product. Both answered back immediately with the information that I was seeking.
I was contacted by Carl Johnson at Sportsmans and he explained to me that they had pre-ordered 5 of the new Veer X13 models and I could put my order on one of them. Well thats when the awesome process began. Sportsmans Outfitter & Marine is located in KC Missouri and I am located in Texas. Some people might think this would be a hassle but not with Carl and his group at Sportsmans. It took longer than expected but Carl updated me by email and telephone each week on the progress of the build of the boat. Eventually Carl contacted me and said - awesome news - the boat had arrived at the dealership. Carl worked with my schedule to pick up the boat at a time that was convenient for me. Being 9 hours away we needed to make the delivery of the boat as seamless as possible.
Sportsmans and Carl did exactly that. The boat was placed inside his huge showroom and was completely PDI ready for delivery. Carl went over every detail about the boat and answered every question that I had. I was never rushed through the whole inspection process of the boat and Carl was there by my side step for step. When it came time to do the paperwork Carl had it all prepared and ready. To my surprise, because I was financing the purchase Carl had already completed all forms I needed to get the boat registered and titled in the State of Texas. Wow! That was awesome! If youre in the market to purchase a Veer X13 like I did or any other type of boat, these guys are top notch and dont be afraid if youre several states away. They will make the purchase feel like dealing with your next door neighbor. I think the name should read "5 - Star Sportsmans Outfitter"!

Let me just start this story with I had made a deal to purchase another boat from a different dealership in the Kansas City area. Long story short it was not a great experience, and I canceled that boat purchase. I had purchased a boat at Sportsman's in the past when I was younger and I have always wanted a Lund. Being from a family owned business I only support family owned businesses that take pride in what they do. Sportsman's went above and beyond to make my experience great. I was in there tire kicking and asking questions a few different days and I did not get treated any differently coming in and asking questions than I did purchasing my new Lund. What, trade my bass boat for a pontoon boat? Yes, thats what I did and Josh had all the right answers to make this happen. My wife and I wondered whether our family would enjoy the lake more on a pontoon boat instead. We went to several boat stores looking at pontoon boats and I could not see myself fishing on any of these boats. Then I went to Sportsmans Outfitter & Marine to just look around. Luckily, I met Josh Smith and he showed me the 2022 Crest Classic Fish 220 pontoon boat after I explained what my family was looking for. He told me how it could do everything my family wanted and advised me on how to equip it for my fishing needs. The service department was very knowledgeable and installed all the fishing equipment I wanted. As we closed the deal, Josh sat down with us and explained in detail how to break in the engine and how to use all our new fishing accessories. Weve never had such great service after we purchased a boat.

I had researched these boats for 2 years and had looked at many other dealers and competitor brands and knew exactly what I wanted in a Lund. I decided to drive 1.5 hours to Sportsman's after not being satisfied with multiple visits at another dealer 20 minutes from me. I was impressed with Joe not trying to hard sell me on what he had in stock, as he immediately said "You sound like a custom order type customer that knows exactly what he wants". I ordered the exact boat I wanted right at the model year deadline. Carl estimated when boat would be completed and delivered. Carl would update me with build progress on his own without me asking. I would ask Carl questions via email and would have an answer within an hour or two or he'd respond and say "I do not know the answer, but I will find out for you asap" and update me accordingly. Boat arrived exactly within the time frame that Carl had estimated when boat order was placed weeks earlier. Other dealers tried to hard sell me on boats that weren't exactly what I wanted model or option wise, wouldn't call me back, wouldn't answer questions, one dealer even said I was too late to order at the deadline, etc., but Sportsman's went above and beyond in all aspects.

Just purchased my first brand new boat, Lund 1875 Crossover. Josh met me soon after walking in having spoke with him prior on the phone. Pretty much had in mind what I was looking for already. All the staff I ran into were friendly and polite and very helpful. Josh certainly made the purchase painless including rigging with electronics and trolling motor. Certainly not the closest to me but after trying the 2 main big box stores nearby and receiving such poor service and information from salesmen clearly not motivated to help the customer Ive found the place to frequent for future help or service. My wife and I were referred to Sportsman's from others we talked to at our lake. We almost made a deal at the boat show back in January but we just were not sure what we wanted. We came back to Sportsman's and found out we almost waited too long. Several places we looked were very low on inventory, at least in terms of pontoon boats. Sportsman's had one in stock that was almost exactly like the one we saw at the show, and we were surprised to see it was still basically the same price. All of the people we dealt with were great to work with and we did not feel pressured to buy. We are very happy with our new Lund pontoon and with our overall experience. We will recommend Sportsman's to others if you are looking for a dealership that cares about their customers this is the place.

Great dealership experience! Living in a lake community you see the foot print of Sportsman's Outfitter. Sales, Service and Parts are all professional, friendly and a wealth of information. There are no "stupid" questions when it comes to them dealing with their customers. The staff provides my family with excellent customer service. We have an older Ranger 320V w/Mercury 75. We needed to have the engine wiring completely replaced and no other dealer/service would even touch it but Sportsman's Outfitter did the job, we also had the stator replaced... yes it was costly but you guys found the parts and installed it... the boat and motor run great... we take it to Truman all the time and have had no problems. We are getting older now so we have decided to sell the boat but will have you guys give the boat and motor one last go over before finding a buyer. We bought our pontoon from Sportsman's this year after doing all our homework. We looked at several brands in person- Tracker, Sylvan, Bennington, and countless more on the internet. There are nice boats out there but we really liked the features and construction of the Premier the best. Plus my wife could customize the layout on the boat we special ordered just the way she wanted it. Nobody else wanted take the time to find out what we wanted or to even talk about custom configurations. It took a little while for our boat to be made but it was worth the wait. We have had a wonderful summer on our new tri toon and the four stroke Mercury has been awesome. When we take our friends on the boat they can not believe how quiet it is, but we can tow the kids and grandkids all afternoon with no problems. You get what you pay for these days and Sportsman's backs it up with great service. We damaged our prop not long after the boat was delivered (oops), and one of the guys brought me a new one and dropped it off in my garage for me! He even took the old one to have it reconditioned and now I have a spare. Ask around and compare, there are boats all over our lake with Sportsman's decals on them, this is a great place to buy a boat. We will be calling this fall to have you pick it up and store it for us for the winter. We could not be happier with our experience.

I took my Hurricane Deck boat in for what I thought was going to be some extensive repairs. The guys tore it down and found out it wasn't bad at all. They fixed up the lower unit and I had them perform some other needed repairs. I just put it back on the water this weekend 06/14/2014, and it has never ran so good. This 6000lb deck boat jumps out of the water like a bass boat now. It has NEVER ran this good. They got it in when they said they would, the repairs were great and the pricing was fair. I have wanted to buy a boat for a number of years but was just not in the position to purchase one. Now that I am semi-retired, the time seemed right. I scoured Craigslist and Boat Trader looking for a used unit but could not make up my mind as to the type of boat I wanted, i.e. bass boat, fish and ski, deck boat, etc. I attended the boat show in St. Joseph to look at the different types of crafts available. I really was not thinking about a new boat just seeing close up the different types of boats out there. That is where I met Joe Falco, Sr. I explained to Joe what I wanted to use a boat for and was pretty sure I wanted an aluminum welded bass boat for fishing the Missouri river and some of the larger lakes around this great state. Joe called over a Lund Pro Staffer, John Jamison and between the two, after a lot of conversation, they explained why a Lund deep-V was the boat I probably needed. The next week I took the wife to the KCMO boat show to meet Joe and look at the different types of boats available. Joe took an extraordinary amount of time explaining to us the new 1750 Rebel Sport (he did not have one at the show because Lund had just announced the new model). Joe sent us around the boat show to make sure the Lund was the boat we wanted. When we made our decision, Joe never high pressured us into any options or extra crap we did not need (Joe never pressured us into anything). As a matter of fact, he went down the options list and asked us if we wanted an item. I told Joe from the very beginning that we were not going to buy a boat that night but when he gave us the final price, my wife looked at me and said Why not go ahead and do it? So we did. I called Joe the next day and upgraded the motor to the maximum HP allowed and added a few more options. We don't have the boat yet but it is on order. Joe made arrangements to take us out on the water when the boat arrives and show us how to use it. That is commitment to customer service. When we get our boat I guarantee that when somebody asks me where we got our gorgeous boat I will emphatically tell them, Sportsman's Outfitter and Marine in Belton, MO.

Sportsman's has done the maintenance on my boat for a couple of years now. I recently had some issues with my boat running very sluggish after a family trip to Table Rock Lake. They are always upfront with the timeframe to get your boat in the shop as well as keeping you informed on what they've found and the cost to repair. Their service is always top-notch. I want to point out that my snap cover had blown off my boat on the highway and messed up a number of snaps. I was planning to spend some time repairing the snaps after they fixed the engine that was running sluggish. When I picked up the boat, I noticed all the snaps on my cover were fixed! Sportsman's went above and beyond and fixed the snaps on my cover without even charging me for it! You don't see this kind of customer service these days! I want to thank Scott and the whole Sportsman's service team for their outstanding work and customer service. Great job guys!

My husband has been looking for a boat and researching for the past year. We live in Northern Illinois, so aluminum is a must. Dave could not find a Lund within a couple hundred miles of where we live. We had been looking at Alumacraft and struck up a fair deal with Cabelas up north. To Whom It May Concern: Over the last 3 1/2 years since I bought my Lowe FS175 boat, I have had several warranty issues. This included issues with consoles, returning the boat to the Lowe factory and repainting large areas, and the radio had to be replaced by your service department after it quit working. My Bimini top fabric ripped at the seams and fell apart. Your staff replaced the old fabric with new canvas, and rebuilt and installed it. These projects were all done in a timely manner and luckily, all were covered under warranty. In addition, my windshield fall apart, and your service department got that repaired for me at a minimal charge because it wasnt covered under the extended warranty. In most of these situations, I dealt directly with Scott in your service department to get me back on the water. In all cases, he and the entire service staff were extremely courteous, and went the extra mile to make sure I was back on the water and didn't miss any important events. Even though sometimes due to all the problems I had, it felt like I might have a lemon, you guys helped me make lemonade out of them. The most recent example of your great work happened last week. I had engine problems with my boat 4 months outside of the Mercury 3 year warranty. I did have a 3 + 3 extended coverage package for the boat and the repair was covered by that. However, the part wasn't readily available and the lead time to order meant it would probably be nearly a month before I would get back on the water. By Scott working with me, I found a part locally and by you working me into your schedule, it was installed and I was back on the water in days instead of weeks, as we feared when I brought it in. Thanks to Scott and your staff, I am going to be able to use my boat this weekend. I deal with customer service issues at my company on occasion, and know the importance that customer satisfaction makes. At the company I work for, helping a customer get his problem fixed in a timely and courteous manner is one of the main reasons our customers say they would rather deal with us even if our price is higher, rather than our competitors. I also run my own small business and try to deal with my customers in that manner and it has really paid off. But obviously your company already is aware of this based on the service I have received. Again, I just wanted to say thanks for the great service guys. I really appreciate it and will be a repeat customer when I need parts, repairs, accessories, or a new boat. I bought my boat there back in 2005 from Joe. I have had just a very few issues with it, but when I did have them they were taken care of right away. To this day I can walk in there and be recognized, be treated as a person, as one of them. Not just a person they are trying to make money off of, I beleive this is because they are boaters and fishermen just like their customers. When I buy again I will look nowhere else.

I had my 2011 Tahoe serviced at Sportsmans since I bought it. The Service Department always does a great job, whether its a maintenance issue or winterizing. Dave, in Service, solved a steering problem even the Tahoe engineers couldnt diagnose. I recently purchased a new 20 Bayliner DX2000 from Sportsmans and had a great experience. Josh Smith was my sales rep. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about boats in general and the Bayliner specifically. He took his time and was patient as he explained all the features and things to consider to satisfy my boating requirements. He took his time and answered all my questions and provided his recommendations. I will definitely be bringing the new boat to Sportsmans for service and highly recommend them for service and new purchases
